Arrrgh!!!! Bloody Home Search Assistant! Oh the humanity!!!

Hey there!!!

This is a fantastic post for people who have fallen prey to the evil Home Search Assistant... Kudos to the moderators and the contributers!!!!

I've just received my computer not 2 days ago when my brother went online, before i installed my antivirus program... Guess i've been plagued with bad luck these few days... So i tried the Home Search Assistant Removal Guide, but to no avail!!! Thrice!!! Blew 2 days trying to rid the scourge. :bawling:

So, i've decided to plead for help... I've followed the Home Search Assistant Removal Guide to the letter, but my homepage keeps setting itself to about:blank and well, my search toolbar is messed up... I've indentified the R1, R0, R3 and O2 entries, but i'm unable to locate the O4 entries. So i've removed the screwed entries, but they seem to keep coming back........

Let's start by opening up all files and folders so we can see everything that is going on.

Do this by opening up my computer, then click on tools and then folder options. Click the view tab and then check- show hidden files and folders and uncheck hide extensions. Click apply and then ok.
