I have read some threads, and i am still unsure if ipod work with other p2p programs. I know for sure that napster doesnt work with ipods, but will winmX or limewire work with the apple i pod if its in mp3 format?
I hope you guys are right beacuse i placed and order on the mini, and i dont use itunes.....(i dont think i can afford it spending all my money on the ipod)
IMO the best value is the $349 iPod Photo 30Gig, but I also agree with leishi on getting a 20g over a mini. you can use other programs than iTunes to transfer mp3's to and from the iPod
Or you could be like me and 20 gigs is a complete waste. I'll take 6gigs and more battery life over 14 extra empty gigs.
iPods also work as an external USB2.0/Firewire hard drive. I would say at any given time my iPod is 40-60% not music, but other files that i transfer back and forth from home/work
I originally bought a 20 gig, and I didnt like it cause it was so big. I switched to the mini(i have the 4 gig cause the 6 wasnt out when i got it) and I love it. Definately go with the mini cause of the lower price and it is so much smaller.
you're still listening to their music. and most of those dang celebs dont need anymore money!!! theres soo many people that are starving to death, or pinching pennies and living from paycheck to paycheck- these celebs dont need anymore $$ to spend on drugs, steroids, or ferraris!
Im not totally against p2p Pilotwings but i think your argument is off a little. I dont believe the artists that make that much (ferraris and the like type money) are the ones going to get hurt by p2p. Its the new imerging artists, the independent record labels and the independent records stores. Even if you dont listen to anything like that i do think it will even hurt the mainstreams choices because national radio stations will be "forced" to play things they KNOW will sell and stop playing new stuff and you'll hear even less variaty then what is curently played. Just my 2cents, dont take it personally . by the way, get what ever you (original poster) wants, if you dont have much music and like small gadgets get the mini, or if you think you'll compile a large music collection get the 20gb. But in my own opinion i just dont like the ipod in general. lol

Second of all, if the file is an MP3 file, it will work on an iPod.
P2P programs don't have their own proprietary formats. They are just a way to share music with the entire internet.
You're getting the method mixed up with the format.
pm (private message) me how to do so
They seem fine to other than the lack of features.
it's $199 for the 4 gig, and 245 for the 6 gig, still not worth it.
you can get the ipod 20 gig for $299, 50 dollars more for 14 for gigs, but just a little bigger than the ipod mini, well worth it to me.
$149 iPod Shuffle 1Gig ~240 songs
$199 iPod Mini 4Gig ~1000 songs
$249 iPod Mini 6Gig ~1500 songs
$299 iPod 20Gig ~5000 songs
$349 iPod U2 20Gig ~5000 songs
$349 iPod Photo 30Gig ~7500 songs +photos
$449 iPod Photo 60Gig ~15000 songs +photos
