Counter Strike Question?

Hi guys, Just got the Half-Life 2 package with Counter Strike Source included.
Question: Can I set it up on 2 of my pc's so I can play it with someone that visits here?
I've got it set up on 1 pc already with no problems. But my brother is coming for the holiday and I'd like to set up a server with bots so he and I can play it together.
Or, Can I load it on the 2nd pc and play a LAN game on it?
I don't really care if I set up half-life 2 or counterstrike to play. Just want to get it so 2 can play.

Hard to believe you pay $54+change for a game you can't even set up for a lan game betwwen 2 pc's in your own house!!!!!!

yeah craptastic ehh? I think that if they notice it they make it so you can't ever play againor something... so basically you've paid $54+change for a coaster.

I'm pretty sure they only ban your steam account for life when you are caught cheating, which is fine with me lol. It does suck how you can't play on a LAN between two computers. I think I might have got it working before, but I don't remember. If I did it was by disabling the network connection (and therefore the connection to the internet) and then running steam. This would make it start in offline mode. Then i'd go to the other computer and start steam in online mode using the same account. Then when both games were running on the same account, i'd re-enable the network connection. I know i've gotten both games running at the same time on the same steam account, but I think i might not have been able to get them connected via the LAN.
