New Maps Coming For Halo 2

Microsoft Game Studios have announced that a new multiplayer map pack for Halo 2 will be available on June 28th of this year. This follows a number of unofficial announcements, including a published press release on Microsoft's Korean version of the Xbox.com site.
The new map pack will feature nine new maps in total, and the entire package of maps will be available in stores at a recommended retail price of $19.95 on the June date. However, Xbox Live users will be able to get their hands on some of the maps for free before that date.

Bungie Studios, the developers of the Halo 2 game, have revealed on their web site that the first two free maps to be released will appear as downloads through Xbox Live towards the end of April. On the same day, 2 maps will be made available for purchase through Xbox Live.

The final five maps will be made available to Xbox Live subscribers on the same day that the retail package ships. The retail package also contains extras as well as the maps.

    There are several user created maps available for free to those with modded xboxen. They can be played online using the xlink kai tunnelling software.

    Seriously.. You pay $50 for the damned game and then they want you to pay $20 for some add on maps? boo on microsoft for that :shakehead

    thats why u mod ur xbox get a mod chip...u can rent a game put in on ur xbox, and play on live...even know this proccess is a lil tricky. its well worth it. me and my bro both have one its great!

    at the end of the summer the maps will be free, you can just buy them early

    I think that they have the right to make us pay but it should only be like $5-$10 not fuckin $20 because thats fucking outrageous.

    You do know that is costs them money to make discs with the maps on them right? what, you want them to throw away a couple million bux?

    No, I want them to make them freely available online. That's not too much to ask - we've made microsoft and bungie extremely wealthy.

    it will cost $4,629. You get it by going to the modded xbox store and saying the words "the crow flies at midnight" to any male clerk whose first name starts with "L"
