Computer infected with Searchmaid spy ware. Could some1 plz help me with its removal

I bought a New computer, it is only 3 days old and already infected with this nasty spyware. I am using unlimited ADSL connection and usually have lightning fast connection. Since this has installed itself into my cpy, my connection has dropped to that of dial-up
