I really like my Foxconn board/Celeron which has an Nforce chipset as well. I like this board better than any that I've had in the past. It was inexpensive and I really like the new features.

However, I ran into a problem that no one could help. But it was finally solved through some persistance. If you notice some of the computer cases, especially Compaq has one connector for the pwr led, hd led, power switch and reset switch which made for a hairy situation. So if the power light and the optical mouse comes on when the plug is inserted into the power supply, it is possible to carefully remove the metal connector from the plastic connector and place it in the proper place. And it makes sense to me that a person should be able to move these wires for proper placement. A really little screwdriver has to be used to lift the small tab holding the metal connector and then it can easily be removed. Once this is done than the power led comes on when the computer is turned on.

I've used the Abit AV8 and the Epox 9NDA3+, they're both great boards. The K8T800 board will only OC to ~FSB270 while you have a shot at FSB300 with the NF3 mobo, if you memory can take it.

If your running stock it's a toss up. But bear in mind the EPoX's SATA ports are hard to reach or unusable if your Video card has a oversized cooler.

It was a real pleasure, unlike with other boards I've installed, to install the Foxconn board. Actually I've tried video cards on my other homebuilts and I hate the things, so I've been sticking with the onboard video. I have liked the onboard video really well on all the boards I've purchased in the passed, so I stuck with the onboard video on the Foxconn as well. But, I don't like the onboard sound on the these motherboards, so I set the jumper and install SoundBlaster cards. Graphics is not a top priority with me but sound is since I write songs and use my computer a lot to help as an aid. Other then the sound, Nvidia Nforce is working really great on my system. I'm really very happy with my Foxconn board with the Nforce 3. I just had a little problem with the set up of the Compaq case which I now have worked out. You know how Compaq is. Other than putting in a card or something, they seem to fix it so you can't muck around with their computers. A good example of this is when I decided to use the original DVD and CD RW drives. I had to try a combination of jumper setting before both of them will work. Of course the drivers for the CD RW was installed when I installed XP. I had to install the drivers for the DVD seperately.

The Abit NF7 is an excellent motherboard for about $70.

I have the 9NDA3+, which is the same board as the 9NDA3J except it has more bells and whistles than the J. I've had my fsb well north of 300 fsb with no board stability problems seen.

Tim, the NF7 is a socket A; we are talking about A64 socket 939 boards here. :);)
