SM23, the rig that was donated by Mortin's mother after his death, is in need of a new motherboard. The current board is regularly locking up and resetting units.

Is there anyone with a board compatible with a XP1800+ that could donate it to the SMx Project? It would have the honor of residing in this very special SMx rig :) Please let us know in the next day or two if you do. We'd like to get it folding again immediately. Thanks!

SM23 is already out and being hosted by our teammate TBonZ. It just needs a new MB to keep going.

There will be a major announcement concerning upcoming SMx rigs very soon.

Anyone out there want to be a hero?

All of our SMx computers are special, but there is a lot of history behind this particular rig.

If you've got a board laying around that is suitable, why not etch your name in the annals of the SMx Project by donating it to Team 93? :)

what socket type does the board need to have. I might have one for it. I don't think i could give it away but i could give it up for a really good price.

Yeah, I'm having all sorts of trouble with the MB unfortunately. Any help given is very much appreciated.

rechief - About the NF7, it's on RMA or something? Are you thinking of donating it or are you selling it?

bikerboy - Although I am on the SMx commitee, I've surrendered all decision making when it comes to this rig. Curious though, how much is a very good price? What MB is it?

I was thinking oround the range of $175. make me an offer. It is an Asus A7V8X-X. It has a amd 2500+ on it and 2 sticks of 256 and a stick of 128. I think it might not be any good. I replaced it thinking it was bad and when i installed everything my harddrive went bad so im thinking it might just be the hard-drive and not the mb and processor. I'm not garunteeing anything though.

Thanks bikerboy but mtgoat has already sent out a board in the mail to me. If you want to sell your parts, you could try the DD forum. :)
