windows message control system

I have been getting this message all day from windows message control system. windows has detected errors in your registry. Due to these errors your PC will be unstable and crash. You might even experience that your pc is running slower than normal. Then it gives different web sites to go to to buy a program to fix the problem. Since I have never experienced this before I really don't know what to do. Can anyone there help me.

    Disable the "Messenger" service (under Administrative Tools>>Computer Management>>Services and Applications>>Services).

    BTW, this has nothing to do with any Instant Message program. Messenger was designed to allow administrators to send an alert over the network, for instance to let everyone know that the print server was temporarily down. Spammers have found a way to use it for their evil purposes... :rolleyes:
