Small bug in quick reply smileys

edited April 2005 in Community
I've noticed this more than once that when I use the quick reply are to reply with the laughing smiley by clicking on the button that it shows correctly when in the quick reply with a big "D" but when you post the message, the code reverts to a little "d" instead of the capital "D". Has anyone else noticed this happening too?

I hope this makes sense to you; it looks a little confusing to me. :wtf:

That is an example of what it posts after replying with hitting the laughing smiley button 3 times in the quick reply square. It shows correctly when you use the laugh smiley button but reverts the "D" to"d" when posted.

    just a test.... ;D;D

I think it's probably the all-caps filter that stops people FROM POSTING LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME>>> IF THE FIRST THING IN THE POST IS A "WORD" WITH ALL CAPS IT UN-CAPS IT>>> THE FILTER MUST THINK THAT the smiley is all caps.

Dude. I just had an awesome idea. We should have "smiley" that you can type in words. And it would read them off in that creepy Microsoft Sam voice. Could be a lot of fun:

"Hahaha. But you know what I really think of your post? [cue possession/Exorcist noise] NAOIVDLEKNFAOPINV. I'M GOING TO EAT YOUR BABIES. EL-OH-EL."

The last thing I need is a post like this, "ROFL U SUK DIK YUO STEWPID ASSHOEL AHHAAHAH U SUK," read to me.
