Seven active, one poised to turn in its first WU in about two hours, and a lazy good-for-nothing sister and daughter who had better get on the ball if they want continued free tech support. :rarr:

(My daughter just moved and needs a router, so I might cut her a little slack.)

At the behest of dragonV8, I am working on a stats analysis thread to demonstrate the effect that Rally 2005 is having on our place in the Folding standings.

Look for it later today. Unless the Indians-White Sox game goes extra innings... ;D

    Thanks Volvo.
    I fold in my lab. It's a nice size lab with 20 2.4ghz p4's + 1 2.53 ghz p4. Also I have a dual xeon 2.4ghz server in there chugging nicely.
At home I have a barton @ 2.4ghz ...usually this system is the powerhouse of them all.
A few other systems I built for fly & friends fold off and on but mostly off.

    And that's the farm! :thumbsup::fold:

oh ...860 more points to go! If I'm lucky we may see 2kk at midnight!!! :smokin:

Prof your efforts are always appreciated ...please don't forget that.

Ok ...we made it to 2m.

On another note. I lost a coworker to cancer on sunday.
A few months back she was having horrible abdominal cramping and consulted me about it. In her situation her insurance wouldn't kick in for a few weeks and she wanted to go to the hospital I had recommended. She toughed it out for 2 weeks and couldn't bare it any longer so she went to er to this particular hospital. They explored the situation and found tumerous cancer within her abdominal area.
After surgery they started kemo and everything went well. She lost her excess weight that she had carried for so long and really looked good. She lost the hair and all that as well but she covered it well and did excellent. At her last doctors visit before she came to visit me and her other co-workers she announced that she was in remission and was looking forward to returning to work immediately.
1 week ago just before attempting to return to work she began having another bout of abdominal cramping. This time would prove fatal.
The doctors told her that it was probably just a kink in the bowel and that surgery would have her fixed up in no time. She didn't want to go threw it again but she succumbed to the pain and went in. This time the findings were catastropic and everything was hopeless.
Anyway they brought in her sister and children one night and told them of the situation while she lay sedated after the ordeal. She had 2 weeks to live at most they said and would never have the ability to receive nutrition for the rest of that period. She could eat or drink but it would go right through ot a tubed exit.
Mary went home and died the following weekend with her sister and children. The childrens father died last year as well.

In loving memory of Mary Oplt 1957-2005 ...2m.

Chris, that is a very moving story.

We have a lot of fun with all the competition and whatnot, but things like that are the real reason we Fold. Let's all work toward the day when tragic events like this are a thing of the past.

Congratulations, teammate - you're still the king!
