Alright let me take a crack at this. :D

First I need you to grab Ad-Aware. After you download it go ahead and install it. Right before you finish installing it will ask you if you want to search for updates, tell it yes! Make sure it gets those updates or the program will be worthless.

Alright now that you have Ad-Aware sucessfully installed and updated I want you to reboot your machine into safe mode.

To do this reboot your machine. As it begins to power up start taping the 'F8' key. It will then prompt you with a menu, simply choose 'safe mode'. If you get the windows screen you were not fast enough. If you're not sure about this just click the 'How To' link in my signature and you will see further instuctions located in that thread.

Once you have booted in safe mode, open up HiJackThis.
Now I want you to select and remove the following:

Note: The entry in red has to do with NetZero ISP service. If you use NetZero to connect to the internet don't remove that entry.
The blue entry is for AOL, If you use AOL to get on the net don't remove the entry.
If you don't use AOL or NetZero, well just get rid of them both

Once you have removed those entries you can close HJT.

Now go ahead and open up the copy of Ad-Aware you previously installed. Run a FULL system scan (still in safemode!).

Once you have completed the scan, select and delete any objects it finds.

Reboot in normal mode! Hopefully you will now be using a clean system!

If you have any more questions just let us know. Feel free to post a follow up log if you want.

    Good luck :D
