As we’ve previously reported, Microsoft has begun to market the next-generation Xbox console via a type of viral advertising campaign that has come to be known as “alternate reality gaming.” The campaign involves a series of challenges.

Join Colony Short-Media.Com. Help us uncover the secrets of ourcolony.net.

1) Head over to ourcolony.net/lounge/
2) Click Join Existing Colony
3) Enter the team pass code: 48329283

Our first challenge is simply to recruit 4 more members at which point we’ll receive a new task.

    I Joined up and see we have 20 points and ranked #436 we need more 1 more member to move to our next challenge.

    I joined, and this seems wicked cool. Would it be possible to create a forum for OurColony.net colony members, so we can have posts about trying to solve puzzles and stuff, it would make things much easier.

    Anyway, nice job about the colony.

    There's a forum set up for us here.

    We currently have 15 members signed up and 150 points which ranks us 109. The challenge still says:

    "You're almost there, a colony isn't made up of one but more. grow your colony to 5 to take the next step".

    So we'll have to wait and see. Maybe someone can investigate the links on the frontpage. As of now we don't have any leads.

    Anyone know how the challange was solved? I was thinking the number was an ISBN, but I tried putting in different answers relating to this and nothing seemed to work. Do we know who solved it? :confused:

    its just a bunch of tricky questions

    I've been trying to figure out the answer to the current one for awhile, its got me stumped

    I just joined. That puzzle has got me stumped, too.

    Could anyone post some of the previous challenges? That might give me a better feel for what sort of puzzles they're throwing out there.

    well, I'm pretty sure I found the answer, but the exact answer I'm not sure as none of them are working. I'm not sure if it's because it's after midnight and it's just not accepting yet. But for all you final fantasy players, I'm pretty sure they're talking about limit breaks. It all makes sense when you put it together with this riddle.
