I have had a perfectly working home network between two computers using a hardwire network cable. I pulled one computer apart because of RAM issues, then i booted it up again (with RAM issue resolved) and my network doesn't want to work in anyway. I have run network wizard several times and change IP constantly. My computers won't even ping. Can someone please help me with finding my missing network.

    Check this...

Have you got lights on both adapters?
Have you got the right drivers loaded for both adapters?
Any firewall software on either PC?

What IP addresses are you using?

Lights mean the physical part of the connection is working. You also need to have the other layers working as well :)

    Eg...

    PC1 - Ip address - 192.168.1.100
    PC2 - Ip address - 192.168.1.101

Make sure they both have a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0
