AMD FX-55 @ 4GHz @ XtremeSystems

It seems like the art of overclocking is alive and well in the heart of some AMD enthusiasts over at XtremeSystems.org, as two guys take an AMD FX-55 CPU all the way up to 4GHz.

Seems 4 is our lucky number, first was the 1st 40K ever 3Dmark run, now the 1st ever 4Giga AMD run ..what will be next 4 ??

    That's pretty crazy, guess it ain't gonna be too long before that speed can be reached stable and constant. I would LOVE to see some benchmarks :D

    I bet they can't run benchmarks, probably crash ;D . Wicked awesome though.

    From what I read over there, they can PI at just over 3.5GHz, but after that it gets buggy. But they CAN run 3D mark either at 4GHz or pretty damned close. They hadn't put up the benchies yet, so I guess they're coming soon.
