Gotta love free
So I build servers for a living, from scratch and some preassembled. Well we brought in this new 4U based on a SuperMicro chassis and mobo. Nice machines really stable solid performance. Our eval box came in with a plextor px-712a 12x dvd burner which I got to keep as we dont use them, we use a pioneer dvd ram drive for long term storage. Score one.
Now our first shipment of 15 arrives, me and the boss crack open a few to start our builds for customers, low and behold this batch has come with plextor px-716a dvd 8meg buffer dual layer dvd burners, all of which we wont use... There are another 15 on the way. Just got me a free upgrade. I got the 12x a month ago, now I am getting a 16x. The way the boss figures it we can sell some of the surplus on ebay and then I can afford an new graphics card.
