Computer acting weird after wireless card install

I installed a D-Link wireless card in my computer, 802.11G. I connected to my Belkin G router no problem. I've got 64 bit WEP encryption running on the router and it is set to not broadcast it's SSID.
The first thing I noticed that was running weird was Azureus, a Bit Torrent client. When I was connected to the same Belkin router with a network cable yesterday, my downloads all had green lights. Today, they're all yellows. I'm running the same linux firewall I've been running for years now, I didn't change a thing on it........ I just answered my own question just now lol. OK, the Bit Torrent problem is fixed, my IP address on the LAN is different with the new adapter, I just changed it to the address the linux server would assign to my wired network card and there are the green lights again
OK one more thing though, my MX700 mouse is acting funky still. When I scroll down with scroll wheel, it's like it doesn't register, but when I scroll up, it scrolls normally. I'm guessing these wireless adapters eat up a little more CPU time, but that much to make scrolling that crappy?
