The pace-setter for Team 93, csimon is still king. The first one of our teammates to 2,000,000 points is also currently ranked 33rd in the entire world. Awesome job, Chris!
I am including a picture with a bit of a story behind it. When I was a kid I read the book Cheaper By The Dozen. I have not seen either version of the movie, but I'd heartily recommend the book. One item really caught my attention. The father wanted to give his kids some idea of how large a million really was. He drew 1,000 vertical lines over top of 1,000 horizontal lines, creating one million tiny squares. He did this on the living room wall, by the way.
I had the idea of creating an image with one million cogs and posting that here as a little demonstration of what our man of the hour, csimon, has done twice over. Even at an enormous resolution, I found the task impossible. What I did manage to do was create an image with 100,000 teeny-weeny cogs. Imagine twenty pictures like that and you'll have a feel for how truly large a number 2,000,000 is.
Incredible.
Today marks the first official use of our 100K Cog (nice job, PressX!):
