Enter the Matrix - opinions...

I know this is old news, but, the other day I was thinking about buying "Enter the Matrix" cause a bunch of people I know had bought it and I hadn't even tried it yet. But then I said "nah I don't wanna spend $40 on a game that I heard wasn't very good"

So, today, I'm cruising through Worst Buy and I see the game for $20, I picked it up and I've been playing all afternoon. What gives with all the bad reviews on this game? I love it! it's great. I mean, I'll admit, I am a big Matrix fan, but even so, I would be the first to say if I payed money for something and it sucked, and I really like this game. I think the graphics are pretty good and I like all the different stuff you can do with the bullet time, it's a lot more involved than Max Payne IMO, with the cartwheels and flips and stuff, there's a lot more to learn, and I like that.

Any opinions from other people who have the game? this will definitly make me stop listening to game reviewers now, as I did with movie reviews long ago, because this is one game I read sucked everywhere, but thought complete opposite after playing.

It's good, GREAT for the first few hours.

Then I went back to playing The Specialists.

IMHO the game is one of the suckiest I've ever played. Lack of support and the bugs are/were horrible. The fact that it's a port doesn't help it. aiming and shooting simply sucks. Other than the that, the style and music of the game is good.

Yeah its fun for a little while untill the bulletime stops making you think, woo slow motion killing goodness!

The vechicle parts really suck badly though, and i felt it got repetative fast. Wasnt bad to waste some time on but no way i would pay the price that was originally stuck on it.

It was good for awhile, but then it got boring and we went back to Halo, luckily, it was only rented.

I only played it for a few hours. I liked what I played. To be honest the reviews scared me away. A lot of reviews said there are a lot of bugs in the game. I worried I would get stuck by a bug and never get to complete the game after investing 100 hours in to it.

the game is only 10 hours long.... it's worth the rent if you have a console.

But, those are some very fun 10 hours (more if you play as both characters)! Minus the sniping and machine guns...

I'd go and get a copy of Max Payne for PC instead.

ETM just seemed like a copy of Max Payne with a slight facelift, a higher bugcount, and less challenge (except where the game was poorly made) : )
