Better DVD burner, NEC 3520 or Pioneer DV108?

edited April 2005 in Hardware
I'm about to pick one up from newegg and I was going to go with the NEC 3520 per Thrax's suggestion. My brother has a Pioneer DVR108 on his rig and it's pretty nice and quiet. He said the NEC's problem is that it's too loud.

I know noise may be a silly reason to not purchase something, but I think deep down we're all in the hunt for a quiet computer.

I'm in the hunt for the best product, which the 108 is not. Your call.

I researched this long and hard prior to my choice and went with the NEC. I have no regrets what so ever and would do the same again!!!

I was recommended to get the 108 which I did. Very nice, quiet and fast burner. No regrets.
