is there a way to set my brightness to a specific amount and make that my default setting? because every time i open a video file with WMP, i have to re-adjust my brightness setting.

any help is appreciated, thanks

Does the brightness setting change for your whole screen, or is the video just too light/dark?

If the latter, it might be a codec problem. You could try the all-in-one pack at the downloads page. :)

You might try reinstalling the Windows Media Player 9 Codec, available at the same link as above.

You could also see if any of the adjustments at Tools>>>>Options>>Performance>>Advanced make a difference (I'm assuming WMP9).
