HJT Log for Stubborn Spyware- URGENT, Vitrual Bouncer?
I posted several days ago and got no response. I can barely use my computer becase its so slow and going online I get bombarded with pop-ups and it freezes in about 5 seconds. I'm starting to really need my computer so any help is appreciated. (Sorry to be impatient)
Random shortcuts keep showing up on my desktop. Ran Spybot and Lavasoft Ad-Aware and found abotu 600 critical items. Got rid of most but some didn't go away. I ran Hijack This, didn't know if it would help but here are the results:

Wintools may have an entry in the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel. If so, it may be easy to get rid of. If not, there are still ways to remove it from your system.
For either solution:
Reboot into Safe Mode.
Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode. To get back to normal mode just restart the computer as you normally would.
Once in Safe Mode:
Click on the Start Button, Control Panel. Double-click on Administrative Tools then on Services.
Look for a service called Wintools for IE Service. double-click it to open, then click the Stop button and change the "Startup type" to Disabled.
(If the service is not there, no worries...all the better!)
Next, right-click on the Windows Taskbar and select Task Manager.
In the Processes tab, look for WToolsA.exe, WToolsS.exe and WSup.exe. If any or all of these exist, right-click on each one and select End Process Tree, and answer affirmatively to any confirmation questions.
At this point, you can check the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel. If there is an uninstaller for Wintools, try running it now. I would still recommend proceeding through the rest of this fix even if there is an uninstaller, however.
Now, please open a command prompt (Start button -> Run, type cmd and click "OK"). at the prompt, type
regsvr32 /u /s "C:\Program Files\Toolbar\toolbar.dll" then <ENTER>.
Then type exit to close the command prompt window.
Now, we can proceed to delete these directories, located at:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\WinTools <-- Delete the BOLD directory.
C:\Program Files\Toolbar <-- Delete the BOLD directory.
Next step...
Please run at least two of these online scans.
Make sure they are set to clean automatically:
http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/com/activescan_principal.htm
http://www.bitdefender.com/scan/licence.php
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp
There will be files that these scans will not remove. Please include that information in your next post.
Reboot and post a new hijackthis log.
It wasn't there.
again, nothing there.
Wintools wasn't there. However I did find "ShopAtHomeSelect Cash Back Installer" and deleted. There were other suspicious looking programs such as:
IE Host R3
Ad Behavior
Aol Coach Version 1.0
Media Access
Search Bar
WebSearch Toolbar
(Didn't delete these in case they were innocent, should I?)
Just thought I'd mention, nothing happened when I did this. Was something supposed to?
The folder was there but nothing bold. I just deleted the whole WinTools folder. It contained: Update, Wsup.exe, WtoolsB.dllm WToolsD.cfg.
Again, I didn't see anything bold. I tried to delete the whole folder but I wouldn't let me and said: "Cannot delete Common.dll : It is being used by another person or program."
As for the scans, the Panda Software one took forever to load ( I came back in an hour and it still hadn't done anything ). I then went on and tried Bit Defender. It started the scan and I saw some files showing up (from what what I remember there were some that started with TROJ) but halfway through, AOL encountered an error. I thought it was just bad luck so I tried again. Same thing happened. I tried a third time. Same thing. :-( This all took hours at the rate my computer is going.
I finally tried Housecall, and it worked perfectly (the scan only lasted 2 hours!) and here are the files that it didn't remove:
TSPY DLOADER.DH (non cleanable)
TSPY DLOADER.DH (non cleanable)
TROJ DELF.PJ (non cleanable)
TROJ SMALL.AGT (non cleanable)
TROJ WINTOOL.E (non cleanable)

TSPY DLOADER.D (non cleanable)
INF DLOADER.A (non cleanable)
TROJ RBLAST.DLL (non cleanable)
TROJ RBLAST.DLL (non cleanable)
TROJ RBLAST.DLL (non cleanable)
TROJ STERVIS.B (non cleanable)
EXPL IFRAMEBO.A (non cleanable)

TROJ CLICKER.AD (can not access)
WORM SDBOT.ATT (non cleanable)
TSPY DLOADER.D (can not access)
TROJ AGENT.LR (can not access)
TROJ STERVIS.B (not cleanable)
Also, I thought I'd mention that when I tried the shut down the computer, I recieved requests to end the following programs:
rundll32.exe
MediaAcck.exe
And another thing, I am constantley recieving messages saying "Web page unavailable offline, would you like to connect to work offline?" I've never gotten these before. I was still getting pop-ups a few minutes after getting off-line even though I use dial-up.

I had a problem with "rkfiles.bat". I did this and extracted rkfiles.zip. But when I tried to open it, it said
“The system cannot find the file specified.
The system cannot find the file specified.
The system cannot find the file specified.
Please wait until this DOS window closes…post the contents of c:\log.tx
Checking system folder…”
Then the window went away. This all happened very quickly so I had to use Print Screen to capture it so I could actually read it.
What went wrong here?
c:\log.txt
If so, copy that text and paste it here. That's your rkfiles log.
Also please post a new hijackthis log.

Am I clean? Thank you so much for your help.
Download Killbox from here.
http://www.downloads.subratam.org/KillBox.zip
Run KillBox, select the option: Replace on Reboot
Then, in the Full Path of File to Delete box, copy and paste this entry:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\nqdan.dll
Select the option: Use Dummy
Press the button with a red circle and a white X (Delete File button)
Click Yes at the Replace on Reboot confirmation prompt.
Click No at the request to reboot.
Do the exact same as above for each and every one of the files that follow, and select No at the request to reboot!
C:\WINDOWS\system32\pbstptg.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\qywpq.dat
C:\WINDOWS\system32\rlivrv.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\skytown.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\winup2date.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\dm6.sys
C:\WINDOWS\system32\vahrl.exe
C:\WINDOWS\dm6.sys
C:\WINDOWS\del.tmp
C:\WINDOWS\Nail.exe
Finally, in the Full Path of File to Delete, copy and paste the following:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\dcrn.exe
Press the button with a red circle and a white X.
Click Yes at the Replace on Reboot prompt.
Click Yes at the request to reboot.
On this last file, close KillBox and Notepad, and Reboot the computer!!
Fix these two lines with Hijackthis.
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [etbrun] C:\windows\system32\elitewgf32.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KavSvc] C:\WINDOWS\System32\rlivrv.exe
Reboot once more and post a new hijackthis log.
One read
C:\DOCUME~1\ALLUSE~1\STARTM~1\Programs\Startup\dcrn.exe
The other read
C:\WINDOWS\System32\rlivrv.exe
Then another message popped up that read:
“16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem
C:\WINDOWS\System32\rlivrv.exe
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT
The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose ‘close’ to terminate the application”
I clicked ‘close’ because I recognized rlivrv.exe from the list of bad files but I am wondering if I did something wrong. Why did I get these messages?
After I clicked ‘close’, another popped up that read:
“16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem
C:\DOCUME~1\ALLUSE~1\STARTM~1\Programs\Startup\dcrn.exe
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT
The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose ‘close’ to terminate the application”
The second time I rebooted (after fixing the 2 items in HJT), the only black window that popped up was the dcrn.exe one. Sorry to be monotonous but I wanted to give you as much info as possible in case this helps.
Here is my new HJT log:

Also, I tried to install a program (TDK Label Creator) and got this:
I don't know if it has anything to do with this or not but I don't usually have problems installing simple programs. What's going on here?
Copy and paste the file to C:\Windows\System32
Reboot and try the installation again and it should work.
Your log is clean!
Now that you are clean, please follow these simple steps in order to keep your computer clean and secure:
- Disable and Enable System Restore. - If you are using Windows ME or XP then you should disable and reenable system restore to make sure there are no infected files found in a restore point left over from what we have just cleaned.
- Make your Internet Explorer more secure - This can be done by following these simple instructions:
- From within Internet Explorer click on the Tools menu and then click on Options.
- Click once on the Security tab
- Click once on the Internet icon so it becomes highlighted.
- Click once on the Custom Level button.
- Change the Download signed ActiveX controls to Prompt
- Change the Download unsigned ActiveX controls to Disable
- Change the Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe to Disable
- Change the Installation of desktop items to Prompt
- Change the Launching programs and files in an IFRAME to Prompt
- Change the Navigate sub-frames across different domains to Prompt
- When all these settings have been made, click on the OK button.
- If it prompts you as to whether or not you want to save the settings, press the Yes button.
- Next press the Apply button and then the OK to exit the Internet Properties page.
- Use an AntiVirus Software - It is very important that your computer has an anti-virus software running on your machine. This alone can save you a lot of trouble with malware in the future.
- Update your AntiVirus Software - It is imperitive that you update your Antivirus software at least once a week (Even more if you wish). If you do not update your antivirus software then it will not be able to catch any of the new variants that may come out.
- Use a Firewall - I can not stress how important it is that you use a Firewall on your computer. Without a firewall your computer is succeptible to being hacked and taken over. I am very serious about this and see it happen almost every day with my clients. Simply using a Firewall in its default configuration can lower your risk greatly.
- Visit Microsoft's Windows Update Site Frequently - It is important that you visit http://www.windowsupdate.com regularly. This will ensure your computer has always the latest security updates available installed on your computer. If there are new updates to install, install them immediately, reboot your computer, and revisit the site until there are no more critical updates.
- Install Spybot - Search and Destroy - Install and download Spybot - Search and Destroy with its TeaTimer option. This will provide realtime spyware & hijacker protection on your computer alongside your virus protection. You should also scan your computer with program on a regular basis just as you would an antivirus software.
- Install Ad-Aware - Install and download Ad-Aware. ou should also scan your computer with program on a regular basis just as you would an antivirus software in conjunction with Spybot.
- Install SpywareBlaster - SpywareBlaster will added a large list of programs and sites into your Internet Explorer settings that will protect you from running and downloading known malicious programs.
- Update all these programs regularly - Make sure you update all the programs I have listed regularly. Without regular updates you WILL NOT be protected when new malicious programs are released.
Follow this list and your potential for being infected again will reduce dramatically. You can find instructions on how to enable and reenable system restore here:
