It all started 2/10/2005

I am in desperate need of help!!!! I got a new PC 2/3 and my first exploit/byte verify virus on 2/10 . Since then I have spent over 200 hours with every assoc :shakehead on this PC. They all end the same way.. "Now this should solve the problem" . One day I was online with microsoft 17 HOURS. WORD. We had lunch, took breaks, and then I called Dell and was crying :bawling: to have someone come here, I couldn't take it any more. I now have spy bot, adaware, Micro/ beta, AOL spyware, Mcafee systems and more. My identity has been compremised, And just yesterday I ran Spy doctor. It said I had 14 viruses no one picked up and to purchase their products.Virus after Virus, mostly exploit's, a few new one's and one CDW (?) per spy doctor, I've actually filled an entire log book keeping track.Of course now, I DON"T GIVE A S__T about writting them down, that is.

I'm confused, and new at this (on 2/3, I had 1st grade level knowledge. Now I'm around 5th grade) ;D;D My PC expert friends, tell me what to do, but they can't come over here because their too busy rebooting, fixing, etc. their PC. I'm thinking I don't want their help, RIGHT? I read Crunchies E-mail and was wondering if I should follow the advice he gave peggy?
Thanks everyone :respect:

Thank you soooo much for your reply. And I did run all 3 of my virus scans and adaware & spybot bef0re I came to this site. I ran hijackthis and I have 2 lists. When I looked them over I recognized some of them from the ones I was reading off to the techs, from prior failures. Of coure I knew I shoulnt delete anything, I'm just too new! This is my first PC. I hooked it up 2/3, And I think I'm doing pretty damn good for a beginner. Well, my friends are impressed, anyway. But I" KNEW", when I ran those scans, that something as up in those files. From 2/10 ,when all this started, I was navagating back to the archives with the techs, being told by every single one esponsible Companys, and to hear EVERY SINGLE ONE of them say " that should take care up your problem".I navigated with microsaoft one eve, after 4 hours with them, he said " this is as far as I can take you. ??? But I said we're back to exactly where we started. He said, Then there must not be anything wrong. Our new sys would have found it . I reminded him that Spy Doctor And Reg Mch. had shown these xxxx's in my PC. ANd the ONLY reason I called Micr..., was because there was 2 files from them marked dangerous, fEnough of that BS. Do you want be to attach both lists? I 'll scan them 1st, jic, but I would think it would'nt matter since they weren't caught inthe 1st place. I'll see if I can figure out how to attach them Or I'll snd them sepaeratly. Again, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. If there weren't wonderful & knowledgable people like you for us beginners, (You were a beginer once, so you know ) what a mess it woulld be out there.

Run it again by clicking the button marked "Do a system scan and save a log file", then copy the text from the log and paste it into your next post.

A picture makes it more difficult to help you since the easiest thing for us to do is copy your list, remove the "good" lines, then post back with a list of the baddies. :)

I didn't see any command to do what you said. This is an area I'm failing in. I did get it to my desktop and have it ready to e-mail. But what address doI use. I haven't gotten around to this basic part to learn. I hate feeling or looking like this.

and I don't have a problem deleting the whole thing. I really don't have anything important. But, once I heard this LOUD bong sound > I mean LOUD. When I looked up, it looked serious.I went to get a pen , But I rembered my friend say If I ever thought someone was breaking threw to turn off the power ASAP. That what I did and I only caught a glimps of what it said. I think I saw port 423. Not sure. Anyway I'll be back. I have to run an errand. and I can't find your last reply. OMG I feel so dumb. I'm embaressed to be here. But I do need and appreciate the help. REally!! :D

Make a new folder in C:\Program Files

    Name the folder HijackThis

Put the HijackThis program you downloaded into the folder you just made. (C:\Program Files\HijackThis)

Double-click the HijackThis program inside the HijackThis folder.

Click the button marked "Do a system scan and save a log file".

A text file should pop up with numerous entries resembling the one in this post.

At the top of the log click on "Edit", then "Select All".

Then click on "Edit" (again), then on "Copy".

Click "Reply" (in this thread) to open up the reply window.

Right-click in a blank area of the reply window and click "Paste"

The stuff from the log should show up.

    Hit "Submit Reply".

    Easy, huh? :vimp:

that looks ugly. And I've been in so many file and folders, read at least 1K file names, even read the letters in the forbidden zone. I'm an intellegant person. I could tell things wern't right. I've been rebooted 5X in the "safe zone". Wen't back in "time". But I watched and logged, and logged, and logged. So many times I filled y tablet. Then I was disgusted and stopped loging. You have no idea what this means to me. I went to sooo many sites lokking for help. I just didn't know where to go,.I was winging it, Like "Rocky, the flying squirrel. Your my Mr Peabody!!!! But I always had a crush on Bullwinkle

Actually, your log is pretty clean. You just have a few resource hogs that I would reccomend getting rid of and one piece of spyware.

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TkBellExe] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe" -osboot
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Bouncer RunStartup] C:\Program Files\Bouncer\liveupdate.exe 110

Fix those entries then find and delete the folder in bold text:
    C:\Program Files\Bouncer\

If you get an access denied message try it in safe mode and it should work.

Also I would reccomend getting rid of either McAffee or AVG. Having two running AntiViruses (AVs) may sound like a good idea, but it actually is not. The two may conflict and not work as well.

It actually started 2/3/05.....when I plugged in my new PC. I don't want you to here the same stuff over & over, but, while cruising thru your site, I couldn't help but notice , it's basically all the same. TheIr all asking "THE ULTIMATE QUESTION". I followed ( ) advice and clicked his link to MSN and practically saw all the good parts. It seems most of your members were developing their formative imaginations when they read these books. I had my own development in a book ( can't say yet ). of course this has nothing to do with my PC.
But I did want to mention that I'm too embarassed to even list some of my questions concerning this issue, REALLY I've only been online 8 weeks. No training. Simple tasks at work, 4 hrs/wk. Basically I've been sent to the front line, so to speak, but I haven't gone through basic training. ie: could proabably do what you wrote except... I can't figure out how to delele some things as of yet.....Ie: look at what I had to do to get Hjt file over here. IE don't know what some of the "LAN" you use. I'm not afraid to try, either. I've sent out recongnicents, finding some "bits" about BOTS. Actually, like in my 1st e-mail, some of these " PC .MASTERS " might have had some education in this field,"OF" course, but they don't get much chance to apply "THEIR" knowledge , except for a few friends, and of course thier "OWN DOMAIN" :woowoo:
So, I would like some private time with one you boys. I want you to [B]teach me a lesson[/I] thanks :respect:

I'm hoping I can navigate back over to this thread. I was on line all day yesterday and couldn't find how to open up.
