Windows explorer causes PC to freeze

you guys have helped me out before so i'm counting on you again...srry...haha


anyways, my problem is this, everytime Windows Explorer is opened, the computer locks up and the only thing to do is to 'pull the plug' in order to reboot. I've tried the ctrl+alt+del and the windows task manager opens then closes before i could do anything...

i'm not much of a computer guru (like i dont really even know how to enter safe mode without following one your walkthroughs which i'm sure you have on your site) but last time you guys helped me out a lot. :scratch:
