Good day to all! my sister's 12th birthday is coming so im planning to give her a new PC.. just for office applications and some games CS1.5, NBA Live2005, Ragnarok. something like that... im pretty much tight on the budget though... 500 USD.. for the mobo im planning to get a Asus p4v8x, 512mb of memory and for the processor not sure if i can get the intel celeron 2.4d box or p4 2.4a 1mb 533mhz... is there too much diff? or since she'll not use it on a heavy gaming can i get the celeron? any suggestions is very much appreciated! thanks for reading! also if there is something you want to change or recommend parts for the setup will be helpful.. thanks!

If you don't already have a motherboard, keep an eye out for motherboard/cpu combo deals from places like Fry's and Tigerdirect. They could save you some money and a little effort. I'd be open to AMD processors as a possibility too. Nothing says cheap and fast like AMD

This should be more then powerfull enough and relieable
i know she doesnt deserve the PC but shes pretty fond with PC'S not with barbies... pretty advance though.. but i think it will serve her at least for years! maybe 2 or 3... thats why im planning to setup sempron or p4 for her...
and who knows... shell be like you guys!
yeah i agree with you on most of those. however, I think you could easily get by with an 80gig hd, a much cheaper and better-looking case, and then with that extra money get a little bit faster cpu.
