I have no idea I switched because I couldn't put up with the unrelieabilty of wmp 7. (crashed when playing games sometimes) wmp is very ram hungry.

Yah ever since wmp 7 its been hell. And the adition of trusted computing in wmp 9.x and 10 is very .... evil (Microsoft hasn't activated it but when they do you will all switch to winamp)

I've had WMP 9 crash out on my twice in the past few weeks. One minute it's working fine, and the next it freezes as soon as the video starts, but the sound still plays. I have to hit the "X" and the "this program is not responding" buttons several times to stop it.

Reinstalling WMP9 and restarting the computer usually fixes it.

I've got 768 MB RAM in his computer now, so I doubt it's a memory issue.
