Pirates Of The Caribbean Goes MMORPG

edited September 2005 in Science & Tech
The popular Disney theme ride turned motion picture starring Johny Depp will be taking to the PC in the form of a new massive online roleplaying game.
Being developed by Walt Disney Internet Group's VR Studio, Pirates of the Caribbean will allow players to create and customize their own pirate characters then join parties where they can either battle other groups or complete missions. This is not Disney's first venture into MMORPGdom, so hopefully the designers have learned a thing or two since the creation of its first MMORPG game, Toon Town. Pirates of the Caribbean online will be set for release to coincide with the release of the second Pirates of the Caribbean movie, "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest," during the summer of 2006.

Being a pirate and stuff would be cool, but I'd rather see it as content added to an existing MMORPG.
