I got rid of a drive after movinga ll my stuff over to another, now my torrents won't download again. How can I set a new directory for where the files are now located so they can continue downloading?

I uninstalled it on my rig but it seems like the path was
    C:\Documents and Settings\user_name\Application Data\Azureus
I don't think this was a configurable option.

I know where my torrent files are and the files being downloaded, but since I moved them I cannot seem to find out how to get them to work again, I wold hate to have to redownload them all again.

    Sure it is.

They all say: Error: File(s) missing! or something to that effect, right? Go to Tools, then Options. Click Files on the left. Look for "Save to default data directory." Just click the folder and change it to where they're all at now. Make sure you choose the parent folder, though. Close Azureus, and restart. It should go through a data check on everything it finds in the new data directory, and resume downloading.

If you're talking about Seeds, change the one below it, "Move completed files," to where your new "moved" location is.

    Edit:
What do you make of this 2.3.0.0 version? I don't really like the decentralized tracker bit... it basically makes everything wide open. Not IP-wise, but access-wise. That's what I gathered from it. Though it is a very smart idea. If the tracker goes down, have everyone (with this version) take over the job of tracking, distributed. That way all the stats can be reported back (I assume) and everyone can keep getting peers lists from each other. But meh... for how often the handful of music sites I use go down, it's a waste of bandwidth. And getting an actual view of the swarm is pretty wicked...

I atcually did try that, but now it says "SCRAPE OK" under status for all my currently downloading torrents.

BTW I am not talking about the torrent tracker or whatever, but the actual files I want to be downloading.

Actually, I may have figured it out. I HAVE to force the download, once it realizes it's not there(the H: drive) it then has an extra item in the right click menu on teh file that asks to change the directory. Though it has to go through the process of checking it before you can move on.

    Hm. Well, whatever works :)

I changed all my default everything not a little bit ago, and I didn't want to go through and change the data directory for all of them. One of those two I mentioned (true, I don't remember which ;D) did the trick for 'em all. Oh well.

Could have been the update too though...

Anybody else getting connection timeouts with the new version? I can't get the NAT test to work now either. I changed nothing, then uninstalled 2.3.0.0, and reinstalled 2.2 (?) and everything works fine again...

My update works flawlessly. All my torrents were resumed and I have no NAT/UPnP errors.

Same here. Maybe it's that distributed database thing? I know that it takes more bandwidth (not a lot more, but it makes a lot more connections), so that could be it... then again, I still don't really know what it is exactly, so maybe not.

Things that make you go, hmmmmmm....looks like I need to do some troubleshooting.

Sorry to digress in your thread, RWB, but I cannot get the newest version of Azureus to work. I can use the old version fine, but as soon as I upgrade the program stops working and I get the red light for my torrent status. Is there some new setting I need to change?

Yeah, I guess some people have problems with using the auto update. Try uninstalling it, and then reinstalling the newest. Also, make sure when you updated, that it didn't change your ports.

My internet is all slow and crap when Azureus is running, is there something I can do to help it out?

I mean for example I open S-M, no images show up and some of the page stays missing, it's as if it only wants to open part of it then just hang forever.

Yah set its limit to half your connection mines set to download a max of 2 megabits (250kb/s)persecond and upload a max of 400 kilobits (50kb/s) persecond
that way half my connection is free for everything else :D.

I think it's related to how many connections I have as it's not usually downloading really fast all around.

Could be. I keep mine set at 150, since I usually don't get torrents with that many anyway, and seeds all disconnect except when needed while you're seeding. Change it to a lower number. Also, the up speeds is what really matters (for being able to browse decent). I always thought it was down, but up is what make the difference.

entropy hit the proverbial nail on the head. If you are uploading at your maximum, it will strangle your downloads.

Also, for those interested, I managed to fix my connection problems with the new Azureus 2.3.0.0 by downloading and installing JRE 5.0 Update 3 found here:
