MSN Messenger signed in at 2 locations at once?

In a continuation of my other recent sync thread, I pose this question to you all?

Is there a way to have two instances of MSN Messenger, both running on seperate machines, signed in with the same I.D at the same time? Is there a way to do this?

Any info/help would be great thanks.

    Spinner,

I have version 5 in work and version 6 at home. If I leave it running at work when I leave, when I get home and log in it automatically logs me off in work. I dont think you can get round it.

Its done internally at MS, its not a software issue, so I doubt you can get round it to be honest.

For aim I just use two screen names. My main one is Slick1537, then I copied by buddy list and created xSlick1537x for when I am at other peoples houses or what not.

Yeah, I guess the easiest thing to do would be just force a sign in on the computer I am working on at any given time, I would have just liked to have them both running IM signed in at the same time.

Yeah but if someone started talking to you, which one does it relay the message to? The one you are at or the other one?

It would relay it to both, if it did work (which it doesnt).

Why do you need to be on 2 places at once anyway?

It would just be convenient, not having to sign in and signout on each machine manually each time I decide to work on a different one.

i recently "had" a version of msn that allowed me to do just this, well suddenly it stopped lol, which is a major bummer for me as i usually left it on in both my laptop and my desktop, as it prevented me from getting logged out when i had to restart one or the other or if i had to switch machines for whatever reason, im currently searching once again for the version i had that allowed me to do o, if i find it, i will come back and post it for all to share ;p laters....
