Computer not finding websites

I'm not sure if this post is in the correct forum, but I always seem to end up here. :)

I'm not able to go to regular websites like, clickbank, web1000, and many others.

My IE tells me page not found, but something isn't right.

I've been helped here previously because of pop-up problems, and I have set my IE to what was told to me previously.

One thing that I notice that is different is that Copernic is not the page that tells me that the page can be found. Previous I think it was MSN. I do use Copernic for research, but that's it.

I've tried taking some sites out of my restricted zone. And I've even added them to my trusted zone to no avail.

Do you have Spyware Blaster installed? These are probably restricted by Spyware Blaster. I know that web1000.com is. But you can always customize that setting in Spyware Blaster to allow those sites to load.

    Thanks for the info.

Yes, I do have Spyware Blaster installed. I can't for the life of me find where to control which site I want to see. Where do I go?

    I couldn't find web1000.com, clickbank.com, or anything.

Open up IE. Click Tools -> Internet Options. Click on the Security tab. Hilight Restricted Sites and click the Sites button. Scroll down through these sites and look for those sites that you want to access. Let me know if you find them here.

I checked there, and they are not there.

Run Hijackthis and Open the Misc Tools section. Now click on "Open hosts file manager".
Click "Open in notepad" and copy that text here.

I ran the program and looked through the notepad file.

When I tried to paste it into the Reply box, IE froze like 3 times in a row.

I went through it myself and deleted the websites I mentioned and WALLA! I could go to click bank.

Although at times I feel like I just locked myself in my own house. I like the fact that I'm much less likely to get unwanted things on my computer.

I think that solved that particular problem.

Thank you again, again, and once again Buckeye_Sam.
