I know HotMail (until recently, last year or two) was run on BSD. When MS first acquired HotMail they tried to change to NT but it couldn't handle it. Now NT is is much better. I don't know if HotMail is an MS-only site now, but I know it's not 100% BSD like it used to be.

The site www.microsoft.com is running Microsoft-IIS/6.0 on Linux.
I know that, but t's just amusing to even suggest that Microsoft would release IIS6 for Linux.
