the security warning says

A FATAL ERROR IN IE OCCURED AT 0028:C0011E36 IN VXD VMM (01)+00010E36.ERROR WAS CAUSED BY TROJAN-SPY.HTML.SMITHFRAUD.C

*SYSTEM CAN NOT FUNCTION IN NORMAL MODE. PLEASE CHECK YOUR SECURITY SETTINGS
*SCAN YOUR PC WITH ANY AVALIABLE ANTIVIRUS/SPYWARE REMOVAL PROGRAM TO FIX THE PROBLEM

if he has a trojan, isnt it posible to bring that trojan back with the restore... I would use a good trojan remover first then try restore...but thats me and i am not the Pro...Lol good luck

If he has a virus it would still be there but wouldn't start up with the computer if he ran system restore. (It would be taken out of startup)
