Problem with XP on Maxtor SATA disk

I am having a problem with XP Home and a Maxtor 200GB SATA disk. The SATA disk is connected to Intel controller on my P4P800-E Deluxe mobo. The install works fine if I do a clean install. If I try to do a repair, the install freezes when it says it has 34 minutes left, during install of the hardware. :rolleyes:
The clean install boots fine, and works for a while, then I get BSOD after 5-10 minutes. Tried to use the Promise controller, but same there. So I don't know if it the mobo or the SATA disk that causes problems. Have ordered a Seagate SATA disk and will try later with that one. Any input will help. :p

    Problem solved. It was the Maxtor drive that caused problems. Installed the Seagate drive, installed XP and everything works just great. :D:D
