Display properties

edited May 2005 in Science & Tech
I am having problems with display properties. I go to appearance and change the windows and buttons to Windows XP style. I hit apply then close. It works until I reboot then it goes back to Windows classic style. How to I keep it the way I set it?

Go to Services and see if Themes is set to automatic and started. If not set it that way and reboot.

Have you used a theming program? Maybe uninstalled it? Try going to the System Folder in advanced and check let windows take care of everything and check all the options below.

Once you make the settings that you like in Display Properties then click save as and name the theme. Make a folder in My Documents called Themes and save it in there.

Something isn't getting saved. Make sure to Apply and OK out of everything to make sure.

In system properties, advanced. Is the box checked for best performance? That will kick you back to Windows Classic. At least it does for me. :)
