ill tell you if guild wars is good tomorrow hopefully. i bought it today but my cd key was messe dup... read my post in the pub to know what im talking bout.. never played WoW tohu
I play both. WoW is going to give you a deeper RPG experience and really shines in the aspect of questing and building your character. Guild Wars focuses more on PvP and kind of feels like questing was an afterthought. I don't think you can really squeeze them into the same genre. My personal preference at this time is WoW. You'll have to decide on your own, though. If you have a friend with WoW, see if they'll give you the 10-day trial pass that comes in the box. Guild Wars: Just buy it because it's free after the inital purchase.
The final decision of which is better is up to you. Otherwise, it's just everyone's personal opinion.
I play WoW and love it. The gameplay was great from the moment I started and it hasn't gotten boring yet. I think it helps to be a fan of Warcraft 3 to get into this game.
I haven't played Guild Wars but most people say it's different than other RPG's and you don't have a monthly payment like most other RPG's.
Comparing Guild Wars and WOW is like comparing apples to oranges. WOW is more of your traditional Fantasy RPG gameplay wise while Guild Wars is more of an action RPG like Diablo II. Both are good games in my opinion but they are very different once you dig deaper.
Watching you play WoW, I don't think you're quite ready. The game's too good for you. I mean, seriously. You play an Alliance character. Get Guild Wars.
How can you assure him if you haven't played WoW .
I've played WoW since beta, you wont be disapointed.
Yes, I'm talking about the price. When you conciter gameplay enjoyment for your dollar, Guild Wars is absolutely a better deal, no matter how good WoW is.
Guild Wars costs $50 once.
There is no finite limit to the amount of money that it costs to play WoW.
I've played Guild Wars since beta, no disapointments there either. To me, having to pay monthly for a gaming experience is always a disapointment... I hope that future games in this genre take after Guild Wars instead of WoW.
The money for WOW is well worth the gameplay experience. Guild Wars is fun and all but I've already started playing WOW again. There is just so much more depth to it than Guild Wars provides. Really $15 a month isn't bad if you enjoy the game as much as I do. You can blow that in one night just by going out to dinner and a movie.
Well you can find me in the game as "Keriara of Eladnare" currently a Female Warrior which I may second my profession as a ranger when I get the chance. Though at the moment I am not in game, but later tonight I will be.

Quick question, what is the combat system in guild wars like?

Maybe I'll have more than one character which one can join the S-M Guild
It will be called 'The Mighty Worriers' (the standard name for the Nexlia guild in MMORPGs), and it will not be a Nexlia exclusive guild.
