Having problems with my services.msc and msconfig

edited May 2005 in Hardware
Multiple(like 25 or so) services wont start including some Norton and HTTP SSL. HTTP SSL is saying it is dependent on some other service but none are listed. I went into services.msc and started some but Symantec Password validation is not working. It wont allow me to log in to Norton Internet security professional. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank You

Have you tried a virus scan? A lot of the newer viruses out will stop certain security services. If you can't scan with the copy of norton you have installed, try an online scan from trendmicro or symantec.
To see what's running on startup, check msconfig. If it won't open, find the actual file, copy it to the desktop and change the.exe extension to a .com extension.
