AVI software for a Mac

edited May 2005 in Internet & Media
I'm looking for free software for a Mac. Something that can play DIVX, XVID, etc. Something equivelant to Real Player Classic, only for a Mac.

Help please? I have lunch riding on this.

Yeah, double post. However, you can get it here.
The VideoLAN project targets multimedia streaming of MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 and DivX files, DVDs, digital satellite channels, digital terrestial television channels and live videos on a high-bandwidth IPv4 or IPv6 network in unicast or multicast under many OSes.

Mac OS X download link is in the VLC media player section.

There's also Windows Media Player, or QuickTime 7.... They play all formats with the proper codec, just like a PC or a Linux machine.

Yeah, like Prime said, Quick Time ought to be able to play them. (At least it did on the iBook running OS 10.3.9 I'm using, without even manually installing codecs.)
