Folding on a system with no internet access

Can I just load the folding client(console) on a USB flash drive and run it from there? I was planning on setting it up on my system that does have net access, and then moving the drive to the system with no net, let it finish the WU and then plug it back into my system that has net access.

Would that work? I know the checkpoints wouldn't work properly, but in theory the rest should.

Yeah Dan it will work just fine, using the console client. Just be sure to set the machine ID to a higher number like 5-8 when setting the client up so it doesn't interfere with the clients on the machine you will be using to send and receive work with. Also, you won't be able to run it as a service (obviously, since you need it portable) so you will need to use something like TrayIt! to move the console off the taskbar and into the system tray for convenience.
