Need Immediate Help-smitfraud.c

Today when i got on the computer, I encounter a different background on teh computer. The background is a blue screen that says
Security Warning
A fatal error has occured in IE has occurred at 0028:C0011E36 in VXD VMM<01> + 00010E36.
Error was caused by Trojan-Spy.hmtl.smitfraud.c
*System can not function in normal mode.
Please check your security settings.
*Scan your pc with any available antivirus / spyware remover program to fix the problem.

Can someone please help, help please. I have no idea what to do.

    This is tricky, can you get on the internet? If you can Microsoft has a Malicious Software Removal Tool that might be able to find the trojan that's causing your issues. You could download it to another PC, burn it to a disk and run it on the infected PC in safemode.

    You might also try Spybot Search and Destroy and Adaware too as they'll both run in safemode.
