AIM virus "is that you?"

I recieved an IM yesterday on AIM from a friend with "is that you?" as the text with a link sending me to what I thought was a picture. I clicked on it, nothing came up, and then I realized it was a .exe file. Since yesterday my buddylist would randomly dissapear, and I found out that the same IM I got yesterday was being sent with my screen name to everyone on my buddylist. I signed off right away, but now how do I remove this virus?
