How do update onboard 3112A Bios?

edited May 2005 in Hardware
I have the bios supplied by silicon Images that says its for OEM manufacturers to integrate into thier bios.. my question is how can I update my Gigabyte 7N400 Pro's onboard SATA (3112A) with this new bios? I currently have version 4.2.00 I believe and now 4.2.50 is available? Thanks for any input.

You need to use a DOS utility called CBROM to integrate the OEM bios rom with the latest BIOS file for your motherboard.

CBROM can be found in the downloads section here at SM, you want v2.07, and there are plenty of BIOS modding guides available on the web. Try searching Google if fancy trying it yourself.

If you don't however, please find attached the latest motherboard BIOS for the GA-7N400 Pro motherboard modded with the latest SI controller BIOS.

Make sure it is the GA-7N400 Pro you have and not the GA-7N400 Pro2 or one of its other revisions before flashing.

    Cheers
