DVDRW won't see disks?

I just installed my new LiteOn 16x DVD+/-RW DL Drive and it was/is seen by Windows, installed the drivers for it automatically, and everything "seems" fine until I try putting in a disk to install Nero or Power DVD which came with my drive. But it doesn't see any disks, it sees nothing.

But I just put in my Motherboards Driver disk and it see's that just fine for some reason. Anyone have an idea of what's up with this?

    It magically works now, I guess after putting in a different CD it figured it out on it's own :scratch:

    You may just have a finicky disc.

    I got a bum CD with an MSI MB a couple of weeks ago. After trying it in four or five different drives I was finally able to copy it to a computer and re-burn it from there.

    Have you looked for a firmware update for the drive?

    EDIT: See, I fixed it just like that! ;D
