I have DSL always on Internet. Connect box still pops up!!

edited May 2005 in Science & Tech
I have DSL and I'm always connected to the internet. The connect to the internet box keeps coming up though and I can't use IE because it says I'm offline, I have to use MSN. I have fixed this before, turning something to auto but I can't remember what. Can someone please help me out? Thanks!!

Choose " Detect Settings Automatically" or something similar, in your connection.

You could go into IE>Tools>Internet Options>Connection. Set it to never dial a connection.

Hey thats my line, But that wouldn't fix his problem windows is trying to dial out and it just so happens it uses a api for msie to do so. (Does so for half it's functions)He needs to set it to never dial like clutch said.
