Remnants of former video card popping up

edited May 2005 in Science & Tech
Greetings, forum meisters--

Recently I uninstalled a 32 ATI Rage card (I believe it was PNP) and replaced it with an AGP 64 ASUS nVidia card. Being somewhat of a non-directions-follower, I probably did not uninstall the first driver from Display Adapters before doing the replacement, though I had no problems using the new card.

Then, finding that I really didn't need the power of the new card, I uninstalled *that* one and went back to the ATI card. I think I followed the directions that time, but now anytime I need to restart the machine, I get a "boom" sound and a red X box that says "Can't find ASUS card," so the booger still thinks the card (or drivers?) are still installed.

How can I rid myself of this annoying little message?

Thanks much--
