Best Anti Spy software combo?

I have AdAware, Spybot S&D, Norton, Spyware Blaster, ewido and Microsoft AntiSpyware. If I run them all in their active protection mode, particularly ewido, my cpu usage goes to 100% and stays there, making everything run very slowly. What does everyone else use?

    There's no reason to be that paranoid. If you have one good security system for your house are you going to set up three or four more to run at the same time?

    It's just overkill. You will have problems and they could crash your computer if they all detect something at the same time.


    I would definitely keep Spyware Blaster because it doesn't need to run in the background and therefore takes up no resources at all. Keep Norton running unless you have another antivirus program. Then pick one of the the remaining three if you want real time protection. I would probably recommend Microsoft's Antispyware realtime protection and then don't use Spybot or Adaware in the background. Just run them periodically or as needed.
