the problem i got... pls. help

I think i got the nail.exe. i followed the procedure in the previous posts, but i couldn't fix it. when i started in the safe mode, i couldn't start the regedit it pops with a window " your system administrator stopped the registry editor" (sorry for not quoting the exact wording as i am using a chinese version xp)

    You have a host of malware, nail.exe is among them.

    Download LSPFix from http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.zip and run it.
    Check the I know what I'm doing box.
    In the Keep box you should see one or more instances of the following files.

    aklsp.dll

    Select every instance of this file, but no others, and move each one to the Remove box by clicking the >> button.
    When you are done click Finish>>.



    Reboot and post a new hijackthis log.

    Did you remove any other files other than aklsp.dll when you used LSPFix? You should not have.


    Run LSPFix again and just click the Finish button. Don't remove any files. That might get you back online.

    If it doesn't then download this program(WinsockXP Fix) to a disc with another and run it on the infected computer and you should get your connection back.

    o..yes.. i deleted all the files.

    I dowloaded the winsockxpfix and ran. However, in the "fix" progress, it said that your system administrator stopped to use the Register Edit. I passed those warnings and rebooted the computer, but still couldn't get into the internet.

    I ran the LSPFix after using the winsockfix, there is a file mswsock.dll in the Keep.

    If you removed all of those files you are probably going to have to do a repair installation of Windows XP to get back your connection.

    i am not sure whether i still go the problem..(as i installed those "anti-spy" and anti-virus software). but i found my connection to internet is not stable like before.

    Place a checkmark next to these entries, close all browsers and windows, and have HijackThis fix them by clicking Fix Checked:

    Aside from that your log looks clean.

    You need to visit Windows Update and install all critical updates found for your system, including SP2.

    Without these updates your computer is at high risk for being reinfected.
