can`t make folder private what i'm doing wrong

I am use xp pro, i have my hard drive divided in to five partitions,When i try to make a folder private, I press Properties then go to the security tab, the tab is grayed over, and i cant make the folder private? i dont know what i'm doing wrong... CAN ANYONE HELP ME !!

    What kind of fs is it? FAT32?

    FS is short for file system. You can check by going to My Computer. Right click on the drive in question and go to Properties. It should bring up this window.

    I don't believe you can make private folders under FAT32.
