how to identify radeon 9800 pro se or non-pro?

edited June 2005 in Hardware
Hi, my friend is selling his card and the sticker on the back says "Radeon 9800 256Mb". Appearently it's non pro because that's what the computer recongnize it as. He has no packaging so is there a way to identify the exact model of it? Thanks!

On the sticker on the back of the card are 2 numbers, one is the s/n and the other begins with "102". The one that begins with 102 is the "Part number". Below I put the link to ATI's look up page where you can put in the part number or bios number and get the scoop on your card.

    I just bought the card.

The P/N is 102A0940302 but it doesn't show up in the ati database. the sticker says Radeon 9800 256M and appearently it's non-pro. Correct me if i'm wrong but i thought ATI doesn't make 256mb 9800 np. Under the display menu it shows as 9800 128mb. But sure enough though there're 16 mem chips on the board. I pulled off the hs on one of the chips and the parts number is K4N26323AE-GC22 which is a GDDR2 2.2ns chip that can do 450mhz.
    very weird

If you get a chance, run a quick Aquamark or 3dmark03, and we can give you a pretty good indication if it is a Pro or not..

You can try running the ATI Adapter Utilities tool to get the bios part number to run in the first link I posted..

Or with the Catalyst Control Center method which is found on the page below.

DXDIAG also gives you a fair bit of info about the card.
