Properties Problem

I wasn't sure where to put this problem, so I hope this is the right category. Anyways, when I right click on my desktop, and click "properties", there is no "desktop" tab. I can't change my backround, ect. I've done all the scans with Panda,AVG, Ad-Aware,Spybot,ect, and there is no real big problems, I'm just wondering if I just have to somehow open something so it appears again? Thanks for the help.

    I've no idea but you can change it through control panel, display.

    Even there, the "desktop" tab does not appear.
