Major surgery on SM18 today

Here's what I did:

The 200w sparkle PSU finally died. I replaced with a 400w generic

I pre-emptively replaced the clicking old 1.6gb maxtor HD with a 60gb maxtor I had laying around (overkill i know, but it was better than the drive sitting on a shelf doing nothing)

Replaced 256mb PC133 crucial mb with 2 matched 256mb PC133 crucial dimms - so sm18 is now bumped to 512 so that it can happily chew on large WUs

Mildly overclocked the 1700+ to 1.53ghz (1800+ speeds).

There you have it. She should be good to go for a while now :)

Big brother is overclocked... hmmmm.... SM19 might need some bumping then.

Cool to see that she's being taken care of...

Not any more. When I came in today, she was locked up. When I rebooted, I got a blue screen with a memory dump, so I lowered the clock back down to 1700 speeds and it's running stable again.
