wierd problem

Has anyone here had a problem between Sony Online Entertainment for games such as Star Wars Galaxies conflicting with Symantec's Live Update service?
I've tried unistalling and re-installing both SWG and the Symantec products I use. Neither solves the problem. Even with SWG unistalled and the related directories I know of deleted, what pops up when I click the live update button is the Sony Online Entertainment lauchpad and it tries to download updates for it.
Edit (12:35PM 06-05-05): so far I've uninstalled SWG and am running AVG for the anti-virus program. It hasn't done an update yet so I don't know if SWG/SOE will conflict with it.
